The Collingdale Guest House is an award winning, Ilfracombe Bed and Breakfast, offering affordable, quality accommodation which is perfect for your Devon holiday.  We are situated directly on the South West Coast Path in an elevated position with arguably the best panoramic views across the harbour,  Damien Hirst’s statue ‘Verity’ and the magnificent cliff top scenery of Hillsborough Nature Reserve. 

Ilfracombe is the perfect location from which to explore North Devon too being just a short drive from the Blue Flag Beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton sands or the picturesque fisherman's village of Clovelly.  We are also just a  20 minute drive from Exmoor National Park where a visit to Lynmouth and Lynton is a must.

We are just a few minutes’ walk to the beautiful historic harbour with its excellent selection of restaurants, cafés, shops and galleries and the ferry to Lundy Island. The town centre, Landmark Theatre and famous Tunnels Beaches are also within easy walking distance.

Beautifully furnished throughout, The Collingdale Guest House Ilfracombe has nine guest bedrooms, six of which have the stunning sea views, with two of our most popular rooms having balconies on which to sit and enjoy the splendid scenery.

Start the day with our delicious “Award-Winning” breakfast which is freshly cooked to order using local handmade sausages, extra thick cut bacon and Fenton Farm free range eggs.   We also have plenty of vegetarian and Vegan options available,  including our “Meat Free Full Devon” plus we can cater for special diets and offer dairy-free and gluten free options on request.  Or why not try something from the sea with kippers or locally caught natural smoked haddock served with a poached egg.

We pride ourselves on cleanliness and good service and offer a friendly, relaxed atmosphere which we trust will be perfect for your short break or holiday in Devon.

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed warmly and felt immediately at home, relaxed and looked after. We thought the property was absolutely charming and the staff could not have been more attentive.
The property was extremely clean and the little thoughtful touches in our room did not go unnoticed, we had the best nights sleep we have had in a while in a big comfy bed. The view from our balcony was unmatched and sitting out in the morning with a coffee felt perfect.
Breakfast in the morning was delicious and plentiful with beautiful views over the harbour.
We look forward to returning to the Collingdale in the near future.

My partner and I had a fantastic week long stay. Sharon and Daryl were so welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout. Sharon knows the area very well and gave great recommendations for places and restaurants to visit which made our trip even more enjoyable. The guest house itself is spotless and so well cared for. We especially loved the little touches in the room such as fresh water each day, as well as tea/ coffee and biscuits. We stayed in the superior room which we would highly recommend as it had a balcony that looked onto the beautiful harbour. Breakfast each day was absolutely delicious, we would go as far as saying it’s the best we have ever had whilst staying away. A wonderful place to stay in Ilfracombe. We can’t wait to go back!
